Kasoa (C/R), Oct 15, GNA – An alleged notorious Nigerian human trafficking kingpin, has been arrested by the Buduburam District Police in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

Known as Emeka and nick-named “Pu**y Mama,” the trafficker had been on the police wanted list in both Ghana and Nigeria for years.

Emeka, identified as intersex with both male and female genitalia, is involved in trafficking women from Nigeria, Liberia, and Togo into Ghana for prostitution, according to a police report.

It said the women were forced into prostitution at popular venues, including hostels and nightclubs in Kasoa, Buduburam, and nearby areas.

Emeka was said to lure these women with promises of lucrative jobs but later coerced them into prostitution.

In an interview, Mr Emmanuel Azubuike, Coordinator of the Nigerian International Human Rights Observatory Africa, said the Nigerian government had pursued the suspect for years and commended the Ghanaian authorities for their efforts.

He urged the Ghana Police to ensure that the suspect was dealt with according to the country’s laws.
