Four Parliamentary Candidates filed for Hohoe Seat

Hohoe (V/R), Sept. 16, GNA – A total of four Parliamentary Candidates (PCs) including a female have filed their nomination forms to contest the Hohoe Constituency Parliamentary Seat. 

The Electoral Commission (EC) from Monday, September 9 to Friday, September 13, received nomination forms from presidential and parliamentary candidates for the 2024 general elections. 

The PCs for Hohoe are Mr John-Peter Amewu, a 56-year-old Energy Expert and the incumbent Member of Parliament who is contesting on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). 

Mr Amewu, the Minister of Railways Development is also the first NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for the Constituency and also the only MP in both the Volta and Oti regions for the Party. 

Mr Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, a 40-year-old Civil Servant, is also a first-time contender who has filed to contest the Seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). 

The third candidate is Mr Stephen Dzidefo Adzraku, a 37-year-old Teacher who has filed to contest the seat on the ticket of the People’s National Convention (PNC). 

The only female; Madam Esther Amevor, 43-year-old Teacher, has filed her nomination forms on the ticket of the National Democratic Party (NDP) to contest the Seat. 

Mr Enoch Danso Agyekum, Hohoe Municipal Electoral Officer told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the filing process had been smooth and peaceful.
