Accra, Dec. 26, GNA – Yassir International Foundation (YIF), a non-governmental organisation, has feted women and children on admission at the Mamobi General Hospital in Accra.

The Foundation, established in 2015, focused the welfare of women and children, interacted with the patients as they shared food and drinks.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr. Seidu Yassir, Founder of YIF, explained that “we want to feed women and children on admission in the hospital as a way of putting smiles on their faces as they cannot celebrate this day with us at home. Sickness is no respecter of persons. It could happen to anyone.”

He said, the organisation had planned to do similar donations across the country in the near future.

Madam Jacquelyn Tetteh-Ashong, Senoir Administrative Manager at the hospital, thanked the Foundation for the kind gesture.

She said, “on behalf of management I want to thank the Yassir Foundation for remembering our patients in this difficult moment and to dine and celebrate the birth of Christ with us.”

She pleaded with the foundation and other organisations to visit the hospital often with goodies, insisting that the patients had many unattended needs.
