Accra, July 13, GNA— Mr Charles Bissue, a General Secretary hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has pulled out of the race three days before the elections.
Mr Bissue, a former Western Regional General Secretary of the Party was part of five other contenders competing for the position.
He said, the decision was arrived at after broad consultations with his family, promoters, supporters, delegates, and well-wishers of his campaign, a statement announcing the decision said.
“I tender herein, my withdrawal from the General Secretary contest of the New Patriotic Party. My decision is sequel to broad consultations with family, promoters and supporters, delegates and well-wishers of my campaign,” it emphasised.
The NPP goes to the polls on Saturday, July 16, 2022 to elect national executives to steer affairs of the Party for the next four years.
