Accra, Oct. 22, GNA – Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) have released a series of e-learning videos under the Enterprises Development Project with Kaizen (EDP-K) for Ghanaian Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The videos aim to help MSMEs affected by COVID-19 to review their business operations and understand the key areas for sustainability under the pandemic.
A statement from the partners said the videos consist of three thematic subjects; KAIZEN, Financial Management and Marketing, and are now accessible on YouTube.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many enterprises in Ghana by reducing their business opportunities. There is an urgent need for both financial and non-financial support to strengthen their resilience and survival.
“JICA and NBSSI are committed to working closely with enterprises affected in these uncertain and difficult times on the specific challenges posed by the pandemic. These videos have been created to provide insights and direction to overcome these challenges,” the statement said.
Each subject consists of three modules and each video lasts about 5 to 8 minutes.
The KAIZEN module focuses on how to resume business operations and how to improve quality and productivity even under with/after COVID-19, using KAIZEN techniques.
The Financial Management module explains the basics of accounting and techniques necessary to identify the impact of the COVID-19 and develop the countermeasures.
Under marketing, the videos stressed digital marketing as more important than ever with or after COVID-19 and provided insights and tips for implementing marketing transformation.
The statement urged MSMEs interested in receiving further support by NBSSI and the JICA Project Team to apply for a complimentary remote consultation.
To provide comprehensive support to promote, grow and develop enterprises in Ghana, the JICA and NBSSI recently launched the Enterprise Development Project with Kaizen.
It aims at enhancing NBSSI’s capacity to provide comprehensive business development service (BDS) and to collaborate with BDS providers and financial institutions (FIs), which leads to the strengthening of an eco-system for enterprises development in Ghana.
