Odupong Ofaakor (C/R) April 15, GNA – The Promised Word Church International at Odupong Ofaakor Bohye Asaaseso in the Awutu East Municipality has donated food items and other commodities worth GH¢ 70,000.00 to some community members in the Municipality.
The items that included rice, gari, oil and toiletries were distributed to vulnerable people in Kasoa, Hill Top, Opeikuma, Oboom Road and Liberia camp, to help sustain them during the lockdown.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency after the distribution, Apostle Paul Kweku Addie Junior, General Overseer of the Church said the fight against COVID-19 was a collective affair, which faith-based organizations must join hands with the government to combat.
The Church, he pledged would continue to extend a helping hand to the vulnerable during the period, and urged the public to abide by the health protocols to stop the spread of the deadly COVID-19.
He prayed that “the blood of Jesus will cover all in these challenging times and protect them.”
