Ayawaso CP football team defeats Emirates Club 4-3 in a friendly

Accra, Dec. 23, GNA – The Ayawaso Cerebral Palsy (CP) Football team defeated Division three side Emirates Club 4-3 in a friendly match last Saturday at the Kotobabi Wembly Park in Accra.

Emmauel Baidoo who scored all the four goals for team CP was adjudge the man of the match.

Mr. Emmauel Akpali, Manager of the Ayawaso CP football team was excited with the outcome of the match.

He said though his team was able to defeat their abled counterparts the game was not an easy one.

He said, “CP football today played a friendly match with division three side Emirate FC, who are abled team, as part of our preparations for next year Africa Cup of Nations in March in Nigeria, and also an upcoming World Cup in Spain”.

He said, “this is the first time we are engaging our team with abled club. We would continue to engage other abled clubs, till we go to the African Cup”.

He added “I want to use this opportunity to congratulate the President Elect, John Dramani Mahama and to remind him about his pledge towards the development of sports in Ghana”.
