Jinijini, (Bono), Dec. 9, GNA – Mr Dickson Kyere Duah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Berekum West in the Bono Region, has won the seat in the just-ended parliamentary elections.
He polled 13, 869 votes to beat Dr Kwaku Agyenim Boateng, the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) who secured 8,651 votes.
Mr Abraham Adu, the Electoral Commission’s Returning Officer for the constituency declared the results at Jinijini, the constituency capital.
Later in an interview with the media, Mr Duah expressed appreciation to the electorates for their support and the confidence they had reposed in him, pledging to work hard to bring the development of the constituency to the next level.
