Voting progresses smoothlyat Klagon in Tema West

Accra, Dec 07, GNA – Voting is proceeding smoothly at Klagon in the Tema West Constituency of the Greater Accra Region.

When the Ghana News Agency (GNA) got to the Klagon Basic School at 1050 hours, which has five polling centres, voting was progressing smoothly.

Mr. Robert Nartey, the Presiding Officer of Klagon Basic Two Polling Centre, said the voting materials arrived at the centre at 0430 hours while voting began at 0700 hours.

He noted that as at 1053 hours, 121 voters out of a total voter register of 725 voters had cast their votes.

He reiterated that voting was going on smoothly and orderly at the centre.

Madam Ramatu Mohammed, the Presiding Officer of Klagon Basic One Polling Centre, said voting at the centre began at 0703 hours.

She said as at 1100 hours, over hundred voters out of a total roll of 668 voters had cast their votes.

She said that everything was going on smoothly at the Centre and that there was no incidence of violence.

Mr. Ernest Adorsu, a voter, after casting his vote, told the GNA that he was happy that the exercise was going on orderly and peaceful.

“This is what we want,” he said.
