Odomase, Oct. 14, GNA – Mr Yaw Dabie Appiah Mensah, a senior member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the warm reception and overwhelming acceptance of Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Flagbearer of the NPP is a ‘harbinger for the party’s prospects in breaking the eight’ and winning the December 7, General Election.

He lauded the heartfelt reception that greeted the campaign visits of Alhaji Dr Bawumia, particularly to the Bono Region, saying the frank discussions that emanated between the chiefs and queens of the region and the Vice President were clear indications that the NPP would retain political power.

“From their discussions, you could see that chiefs and people of the Region had understood the NPP better and accepted the Flagbearer too,” Mr Mensah stated.

He said he was hopeful and confident that the electorate in the region would vote for Alhaji Dr Bawumia when they go to ballot on December 7.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Odomase in the Sunyani West constituency, Mr Mensah said “I strongly believe and convinced that the widespread acceptance and appreciation of Alhaji Dr Bawumia would translate into votes on the Election Day” for the NPP to secure a resounding victory.

“In fact, the large crowds and enthusiastic supporters that have been characterizing the Vice President nationwide campaign tour is not a mere show of political allegiance, but a significant endorsement of his vision and the NPP Election 2024 political party manifesto”, he stated.

Mr Mensah advised the electorates to be wary of the propaganda tactics adopted by opponent political parties and stay guarded in order not to be swayed by such tools for them to vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and regret later.

He emphasised that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s led government had set the course for the nation, recovering from the COVID-19 shock, and urged the electorate not to make any mistake and vote for the NDC to win political power and thwarted government efforts in stabilising the economy.
