Ho, Sept. 17, GNA – Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from the 18 constituencies in the Volta Region have taken part in the “Enough is Enough” demonstration to press home their demand of the Electoral Commission (EC) to correct discrepancies on the 2024 Voters’ Register.

The protest is part of a call by NDC and other political parties, including civil society organisations  for a forensic audit of the 2024 voters’ register.

The NDC says the discrepancies can affect the integrity of the December 7 elections.

Presenting the Petition to the EC at the Volta Regional office, Mr. Mawutor Agbavitor Volta Regional Chairman of the NDC said he was optimistic that the EC would listen to their petition and do the needful.

Mr. Eric Dzakpasu, Volta Regional Director of the EC, who received the petition assured the petitioners that he would transfer the petition to the national headquarters for appropriate action.
