Accra, July 03, GNA- The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed former Switzerland International, Nora Hauptle as the Technical Advisor for the national under-20 female team, Black Princesses in the 2022 Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) World Cup tournament in Costa Rica.
The experienced coach, who has handled lots of football clubs in Europe, would work hand in hand with current head coach of Black Princesses, Ben Fokuo and other technical team members as they look forward to giving their all in the forthcoming tournament.
Having acquired a Union of European Football Association (UEFA) Pro Licence certificate, Nora Hauptle would be looking forward to helping build the Black Princesses team with her expertise.
She also served as the Technical Director of women’s football in Israel for some years and helped in developing women’s football in the country.
Nora Hauptle served as coach for Swiss side FC Thun from 2009 to 2012 and was later appointed as fitness trainer for Tennis player, Romina Oprandi.
Per her records, Ghanaians would be expecting more from her with her contract also to end after the 2022 World Cup tournament.
Ghana would begin its Europe friendly tour on July 15-30 where the team would play France and some other countries to test their level of preparedness ahead of the world tournament.
The team is housed in the same group with some top giants like the United States of America, Netherlands and Japan.
The 2022 World Cup tournament would begin in August this year with 16 teams expected to participate.
