Paris, Mar. 8, (dpa/GNA) – France is lifting coronavirus restrictions in the workplace.
As of next Monday, there will no longer be a requirement to wear a mask or to keep a distance in the workplace and also in the company canteen, Labour Minister Élisabeth Borne said in Paris on Tuesday.
The coronavirus decree for the workplace, which had been in force for about two years, would be lifted.
The coronavirus situation in France has been improving visibly for several weeks. The seven-day incidence rate – the number of registered new infections within one week per 100,000 inhabitants – was recently 538.
As of next Monday, people will again be able to go to restaurants, cinemas, museums and events, and travel on long-distance trains without proof of vaccination against the coronavirus, recovery from it or a recent negative test.
The indoor mask requirement will also be lifted except for public transport.
