NGO donates face masks to GNA office in Tamale

Tamale, July 02, GNA – Mental Health Advocacy Foundation (MHAF), a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in the Northern Region, has donated some quantities of face masks to staff of the Ghana News Agency in Tamale.

The gift was to help the Agency’s staff protect themselves while executing their duties especially during this COVID-19 period.

The donation was done in collaboration with Total Life Enhancement Centre Ghana (TOLEC GH), an NGO in Tamale.

Mr Stephen Asante, Director of MHAF, presenting the items to the Agency, said the NGO recognized the Agency’s efforts in using its media platform to disseminate the NGO’s activities to members of the public.

He said the donation was part of the NGO’s contribution in responding to the COVID-19 disease.

Mr Eric Amoh, Northern Regional Manager of the GNA, expressed gratitude to the NGO for the gesture, saying it showed that the NGO recognised the Agency’s role in the response against the virus.

He gave the assurance that the Agency would strengthen the relations with the NGO and expressed the hope that other organisations would appreciate and emulate the gesture and support the Agency in its commitment to serve members of the public in the new normal times.
