Techiman (Bono East), Nov. 8, GNA – Mr Basigi Bodai Mustapha, the Techiman South Constituency Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has pledged to reorganise and empower the party’s youth to contribute meaningfully to its political activities in the constituency.
He said the youth remained the driving force of the NDC and pledged to remain innovative in mobilising them for effective political activities to enable the party to garner more votes and retain political power in the 2028 general election.
Mr Mustapha, popularly known in political circles as “BB Mustapha”, gave the pledge in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Techiman, adding that he had already unveiled his manifesto to guide the party’s youth activities in the constituency.
Titled “Comrade BB Mustapha Constituency Youth Manifesto”, he explained that the document would serve as a guide towards reorganising the youth and building a solid grassroots support base for the NDC.
He stressed his commitment to serving the constituency with humility and diligence, pledging to collaborate with agencies such as the National Youth Authority, Youth Employment Agency and the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) to identify job opportunities for the youth.
Mr Mustapha announced plans to establish a youth empowerment fund to support unemployed young people in the area to secure decent jobs and improve their livelihoods.
He said he was also spearheading efforts to train NDC branch organisers in communication and the effective and productive use of new media to empower them to market the policies, programmes and achievements of the government.
Mr Mustapha said he also planned to reorganise NDC members and supporters in tertiary institutions and equip them with the skills needed for effective political campaign activities.
