Accra, Nov. 04, GNA – Award-winning comedian Emmanuel Nkansah Ansong, popularly known as Lekzy Decomic, will bring together comedy veterans KSM, Fritz Baffour and Tommy Annan-Forson for this year’s comedy special ‘Lekzy Unleashed – The Godfathers Edition’ on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
The event, scheduled to take place at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Auditorium, is aimed at celebrating the contributions of the three pioneers whose work helped establish and popularise stand-up comedy in Ghana.
The historic comedy night would serve as a platform to bridge generations of comedians while honouring personalities who laid the foundation for contemporary English-language comedy in the country.
The event would feature an array of established and emerging comedians, including Clemento Suarez, DKB, Foster Romanus, Jeneral Ntatia, Kwaku Manu, Khemikal, Mr Beautiful, David Oscar, Parrot Mouth, Percy Obrempong, James Brown and Jeffery Nortey.
South African comedian Chris Mapane and Nigerian comedian Deacon Famous are also expected to perform, while rapper Okyeame Kwame and the Kyemkyem Band will provide musical entertainment.
The event would offer comedy enthusiasts, especially younger audiences, an opportunity to experience the performances of some of Ghana’s most influential comedy figures and gain a deeper appreciation of their contributions to the industry.
The event promises an evening of laughter, nostalgia and entertainment as comedy veterans join a new generation of performers to celebrate Ghana’s rich comedy heritage.
