Yaounde, Oct 31. (Xinhua/GNA) – Paul Biya, Cameroonian President, held talks with Prince Albert II, Head of State of the Principality of Monaco, Friday on strengthening Cameroon-Monaco relations.
The talks centred on the enduring friendship between Monaco and Cameroon, built largely on humanitarian and environmental cooperation, and on ways to further strengthen ties, the Cameroon presidency said in a statement Friday night.
“It was an honour to welcome His Serene Highness Prince Albert II to the Unity Palace, where we reflected with satisfaction on the long-standing friendship between Cameroon and the Principality of Monaco,” Biya said online after the talks.
The meeting marked the start of the prince’s two-day visit to Cameroon, his first since 2003 when he visited the Central African nation as crown prince.
