Dzodze (V/R), Nov. 03, GNA – Mr Eric Edem Agbana, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ketu North, has convened a reconciliation meeting with contestants in the recently concluded National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency executive elections to promote unity and strengthen the party’s structures.
The meeting, held on Saturday in Dzodze, brought together all contestants, their core campaign teams, former constituency executives and members of the party’s Council of Elders.
Mr Agbana described the engagement as honest and constructive, saying participants had the opportunity to share their experiences, concerns and perspectives on the electoral process.
He said the meeting reaffirmed the need to ensure that differences arising from the elections did not undermine the party’s collective commitment to the NDC and the people of Ketu North.
The MP urged the newly elected executives to embrace inclusive leadership, reach out to unsuccessful aspirants and ensure that all members felt valued and involved in the affairs of the party.
He also encouraged the unsuccessful candidates to demonstrate sportsmanship and make themselves available to serve the party and the constituency.
Mr Agbana said leadership required individuals to rise above personal interests, build bridges and create opportunities for everyone to contribute to the party’s progress.
He noted that although internal elections produced winners and unsuccessful candidates, the collective responsibility of building the NDC and serving the people remained unchanged.
He expressed appreciation to all the aspirants and their campaign teams for accepting the invitation and demonstrating their willingness to work together towards reconciliation.
“The elections are over. The work of building a stronger, more united NDC in Ketu North begins now,” he said.
