ANKARA, Nov. 5 (Xinhua/GNA) – Eight people were killed on Thursday, in a shooting rampage across three villages in Ihsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar Province in western Türkiye, according to Turkish broadcaster NTV.
NTV said the attacker used a pump-action shotgun to kill three women on a rural road in Ihsaniye in the evening. He then fled in a red commercial vehicle, killing three in a second village and two others in a third before escaping.
Meanwhile, police are investigating whether the suspect was responsible for a rifle shooting in the town center earlier that afternoon, which left a woman seriously injured and hospitalized.
Authorities said a large-scale manhunt is underway in and around Kutahya, Eskisehir and Afyonkarahisar provinces.
