Accra, Oct. 23, GNA – Tributes continue to pour in for veteran Ghanaian actor, television personality and politician Seth Kwame Dzokoto, whose death at the age of 51 has sent shockwaves through the country’s entertainment industry and beyond.

The late actor, who starred in the popular television series Efiewura and as host of TV3’s food and tourism programme Edziban, died after collapsing during a radio show and was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), of which Dzokoto was a staunch member, observed a minute’s silence in his honour during a press briefing in Accra.

A similar tribute was paid at the Ghana Legends Awards Night, where entertainment industry veterans gathered to celebrate distinguished figures for their contributions to the creative arts.

Several colleagues and admirers have also taken to social media to mourn the actor and comedian.

Actress Akuapem Poloo shared a video of a scene she once featured in with Dzokoto, expressing disbelief at the news of his passing.

“Judge Koboo please I’m calling your phone, pick up and let’s talk about the GHS2,000. I want to give it back to you,” she wrote in an emotional post.

Actor Van Vicker also paid tribute, recalling fond memories of watching Dzokoto’s television programmes and his famous catchphrase.

“I have always enjoyed his TV shows and repeated his ‘Dzidzii’ slogan. RIP,” he posted.

Veteran actress Maame Dokono remembered Dzokoto’s time as host of Edziban, describing him as a cherished figure in the industry.

Widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most versatile entertainers, Dzokoto built a successful career spanning acting, television presenting, radio broadcasting, comedy and advertising voice-overs.

His portrayal of Judge Koboo in Efiewura and his work on Edziban made him a household name and endeared him to audiences across the country.
