Sixty aspirants cleared for NDC constituency executive elections in Wenchi

Wenchi, (Bono), Oct. 1, GNA – The Vetting Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has cleared 60 aspirants to contest for various executive positions in the Wenchi constituency of the Bono Region. 

Mr Suleiman Ibrahim, the NDC’s Director of Elections in the Wenchi Constituency told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Wenchi that the aspirants were made to sign a declaration to conduct clean campaigns, devoid of insults and use of abusive words. 

He lauded the peaceful conduct of the vetting, and commended the vetting committee, describing the entire vetting process as credible. 

The aspirants are vying for the constituency chair, vice chair, secretary, deputy secretary, treasurer, deputy Treasurer, organiser and deputy organiser. 

Other positions include communication officer, deputy communication officer, youth organiser, deputy youth organiser as well as youth representative, women organiser, deputy women Organiser, and Zongo caucus coordinator.
