Accra, Oct. 3, GNA – The Education Unit of the Oti Ghana Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church has launched the “OneVoice27 – Mission for All” initiative at the Dambai Adventist Preparatory School, with a call on teachers and learners to make school life an avenue for mission and Christian fellowship.
The initiative, launched was led by Pastor Emmanuel Addo Kumatey, Oti Regional Manager of the SDA Education Unit, with support from the Oti Ghana Mission administration and the South East Ghana Union Mission (SEGUM).
A statement issued to the Ghana News Agency, said it brought together the Local Manager, Human Resource representative of the Education Unit, Headteacher, teachers and learners of the school.
It said as part of the initiative, the school has outlined activities to be implemented towards September 2027, focusing on Bible reading, prayer, friendship and mission.
The statement said the activities included regular reading of the Bible using the Humble Hero and Voice of Prophecy resources, as well as the 7:27 morning and evening prayer initiative.
“The school will also deliberately engage a selected public school through academic, social and sporting activities to provide opportunities for teachers and learners to build friendships, share Christian values and introduce others to Christ,” it added.
Addressing the gathering, Pastor Kumatey urged the school community to take the initiative seriously and ensure that every activity was intentionally implemented to achieve its mission.
He said OneVoice27 was not merely a programme but a call for every member of the school community to participate in sharing Christ and contributing to the mission of the Church.
Pastor Kumatey demonstrated the Education Unit’s commitment to supporting their academic development by presenting SDA-branded exercise books to Basic Seven learners, with Basic One learners receiving erasers, sharpeners, pencils and snacks.
He encouraged the learners to take their studies seriously and make good use of the opportunities provided to them.

The Oti Regional Manager reminded them that their presence in an Adventist school was an opportunity to develop academically, spiritually and personally.
He subsequently prayed for the learners, committing their education and future into God’s hands.
The Oti Education Unit expressed appreciation to the Oti Ghana Mission administration, particularly its President, Pastor Pierre Musabyimana, and Secretary-Treasurer, Pastor Isaac Ansroja, for their continued support for the Education Department.
The Unit also acknowledged the support of the SEGUM administration, through Mrs Comfort Owusu-Danquah, its Education Director, stating that the collaboration had strengthened the implementation of educational programmes and initiatives in the Oti Ghana Mission.
The Education Unit encouraged Adventist schools across the region to embrace OneVoice27 and make school life an avenue for mission, friendship, academic excellence and sharing Christ.
