Accra, Oct. 6, GNA – The Eastern Regional Police Command has restored calm at Larteh following disturbances during the Ahenease Odwira Festival on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
The Command has reinforced security in the town with the deployment of additional personnel to maintain peace and order.
Chief Inspector of Police Bridget Opoku, Public Affairs Officer of the Command, said in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency that the additional deployment was to intensify security in Larteh.
She said the Command was engaging all stakeholders to sustain peace in the town and would take firm action against anyone who breached the peace in the region.
