Nandom (UW/R), Oct. 31, GNA – Mr Philemon Wein, the newly elected Nandom Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has pledged to foster unity and provide inclusive leadership for all members of the party.

Speaking during a meeting with the newly elected constituency executives, Mr Wein said he would be a chairman for all members irrespective of who they supported during the elections.

He said he would operate an open-door administration, work with all factions to strengthen the party at the grassroots and strategise to secure victory for the NDC in the 2028 general election.

He called on the executives to bury their differences and work to retain the Nandom seat and increase the votes for the presidential candidate in 2028.

“As constituency executives, we need to be united and organised to bring people together to build a strong foundation for the party.

The elections are over. Now is the time to heal wounds, unite and bring everyone on board”, the Constituency Chairperson said.

Mr Wein emphasised the need for the executives to work closely to make the party attractive to voters.

“We cannot force voters to vote for NDC, but our teamwork, unity and respect for everybody will attract votes for the party”, he stated.

He added: “As the constituency executives, we have a duty to play our part to ensure that there is peace and unity to maintain the integrity of the party to enable it to retain the seat in 2028.”

“We must respect ourselves and work with everyone to achieve the overall interest of the party”, the Constituency Chairperson maintained.

Mr Martin Neekure Dery, Constituency Secretary, also appealed to the constituency executives to lead with humility, respect and channel their energies into retaining the party in power during the 2028 general elections.

“The mandate entrusted to us by the delegates is for us to lead with humility, unity and respect for every branch, and we should not take it for granted”, he said.
