Hohoe (V/R), Oct. 3, GNA – MTN Ghana Foundation has donated 1,400 relief boxes to Hohoe flood victims through Ghana’s presidency.
The items included contains rice, foodstuff, detergents and toiletries.
Mr Robert Kuzoe, Senior Manager, MTN Ghana Foundation, told the media that the donation formed part of the Foundation’s national priority agenda.
“MTN as part of its focus areas, has some resources also to support national priorities and today’s gesture is an example of what we have done under our national priority agenda”.
He said the donation was short-term support since the government was looking at long-term support to the flood victims.
Data available showed that the disaster affected over 400 houses and 5,336 households.
The flood was because of a rise in the water level of the River Dayi due to a downpour in the Municipality.
