Kwame Asiemoah launches manifesto for NDC Volta youth race

Accra, Oct. 16, GNA – Mr Kwame Junior Asiemoah, youth advocate and social activist, has filed nomination for the position of Volta Regional Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He outlined his vision for the youth wing after submitting his forms at the NDC Volta Regional Office in Ho, accompanied by his supporters.

Speaking at the manifesto launch, Mr Aseimoah, also known as JAK-UP, said effective leadership required experience, preparation and commitment to the responsibilities of the office.

He highlighted plans to strengthen the youth wing, expand opportunities for young people, and create structures to promote economic and personal development.

Mr Asiemoah, who has served as Deputy Regional Youth Organiser, said he would help the youth acquire skills and opportunities through the establishment of a Youth Opportunity Centre, a platform for young people to access information about scholarships, job opportunities, and capacity-building programmes.

He emphasised the Volta Youth Drive, another initiative to promote the region’s tourism potential and translate its attractions into economic opportunities for young people.

He pledged an inclusive and vibrant leadership, adding that the youth in the region and beyond had greater potential than mobilising electorate for election victory.

The campaign and manifesto launch attracted support from some constituency youth organisers and other youth members of the party.

The contest is expected to focus on competing visions for the future of the NDC youth wing and how candidates intend to translate their promises into practical benefits for young party members across the region.
