Kumasi, Oct. 21, GNA – Mr. Abdul-Razak Muktar, an Executive Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kwabre East Constituency, says his record of youth empowerment and grassroots support positions him as best candidate for Vice Chairmanship position.
He said his commitment to improving the livelihoods of young people had been demonstrated through skills training, provision of equipment and financial support to beneficiaries to enable them to acquire practical skills and establish sustainable livelihoods.
Mr. Abdul-Razak, who is seeking an elevation to the constituency’s vice chairmanship, said he had supported young people to pursue vocational training and entrepreneurship as part of efforts to create employment opportunities and reduce economic hardship.
Speaking in interview with the Ghana News Agency, he said his vision was to build a stronger and more sustainable party by investing in the youth and equipping them to contribute meaningfully to the development of the constituency.
“My vision is rooted in a determination to empower the youth of Kwabre East.
I have consistently provided opportunities through jobs, entrepreneurship and skills training, turning their disappointments into dreams and offering them hope,” he said.
Mr. Abdul-Razak said the support for young people included enrolling them in skills training programmes, providing the necessary machines and equipment, and assisting with their daily expenses during the training period.
He said such interventions were intended to enable beneficiaries to become economically independent, while contributing to the development of their communities.
The NDC executive member urged delegates and grassroots members to consider his record of service and commitment to the constituency when making their choice.
He said his ambition was to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures and promote youth participation in its activities, adding that empowering young people would help secure the party’s future.
Mr. Abdul-Razak said he would build on his experience as a constituency executive member to promote unity, improve party organisation and expand opportunities for members, particularly the youth, if elected.
He called on delegates to support his candidature, saying he was prepared to translate his experience and commitment into effective leadership as Vice Chairman.
