By Emmanuel Nyatsikor, GNA

Ho, Oct. 19 GNA – Dr Stanley Nelvis Glate, Volta Regional Secretary hopeful of the National Democratic Congress Saturday stated that if elected he would reposition the party with fresh ideas for newer and better results.

He said he would also ensure that every Constituency received attention, and every activist has a meaningful voice in the regional affairs of the party.

Dr Glate stated this after filing his nomination to contest the Volta Regional Secretary position of the party in Ho.

“I promise an all-inclusive leadership that respects every layer of the party if elected.

“The era of disrespect and neglect must end,” he stated.

Dr Glate noted that unity could only be achieved when every stakeholder in the party felt valued.

He continued that from Members of Parliament to branch executives; everyone has a role to play in building a strong party in the region adding that no one should be made to feel irrelevant.

Dr Glate who is a Senior Lecturer at the Ho Technical University said his vision for the party was to reposition it for greater efficiency and results.

He explained that his campaign theme “A fresh drive for Volta NDC” was not just a slogan but a commitment to introduce a competent administration, accountability and responsive Secretariat that goes beyond routine paperwork to become a dependable institution for all members.

Dr Glate emphasized that inclusion would be the foundation of his leadership if elected.

“Motivating the base of the party for victory in the 2028 elections is non-negotiable.

“We shall re-incentivize the grassroots for the 2028 elections,” he assured.

According to Dr Glate, polling station executives, branch activists and Constituency organizers of the party would be recognized, supported and empowered with resources and respect to deliver victory.

Dr Glate is a former Ho Central Constituency Secretary from 2009 to 2019, the first Volta Regional TEIN President from 2006 to 2010 and Regional President of Lecturers for Mahama in 2024.

The Volta Regional Secretary position of the party became vacant following the appointment of Mr James Gunu, the secretary as the Volta Regional Minister.
