Accra, Oct. 8, GNA – The Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) has launched the 22nd Ghana Club 100 Awards to promote investment and showcase Ghana’s business opportunities.
The awards programme will be held alongside the new Invest Ghana Summit as part of efforts to attract global investment and strengthen partnerships between government and the private sector.
Mr Simon Madjie, Chief Executive Officer of GIPA, said the awards would recognise outstanding companies for their performance and contribution to economic development.
“The event will celebrate corporate excellence while providing an important platform for engagement between government, the private sector and the international business community,” he said.
Mr Madjie said the awards and summit would recognise businesses’ contribution to the growth and sustainability of the country and “excite some economic decisions in the minds of investors when they think about Ghana.”
He encouraged businesses nationwide to support, sponsor and participate in the 22nd Ghana Club 100 Awards and the Invest Ghana Summit to promote partnerships and economic transformation.
Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, commended GIPA for providing platforms that celebrated enterprise excellence while promoting Ghana as an attractive investment destination.
She said the awards and summit would provide an opportunity to showcase Ghana’s investment potential in manufacturing, agribusiness, processing and export-oriented industries.
The Minister said such initiatives would support implementation of the 24-Hour Economy and urged eligible businesses to participate fully in the awards to showcase their resilience, innovation and contribution to economic development.
She said the government would continue to build strong partnerships with domestic and foreign investors and development partners to attract investments that created jobs, developed local supply chains and added value to the country’s natural resources.
Mr Samuel Arkhurst, Coordinating Director at the Ministry of Finance, said the Ghana Club 100 played a pivotal role in sustaining enterprise excellence by addressing how Ghana attracted new capital and rewarded enterprises that deployed capital productively.
He said the 22nd edition marked a double-digit milestone in recognising businesses that invested and created value, while reinforcing predictable policies and viable projects as key to attracting and retaining productive investment.
On the Invest Ghana Summit, Mr Arkhurst said it was strategically positioned to attract new capital, noting that Ghana registered 254 projects and increased Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to US$2.62 billion in 2025.
He said that provided a strong foundation for mobilising long-dated financing, adding that the government’s new economic agenda would focus on maintaining macroeconomic stability and ensuring that capital produced tangible results.
