Diesel prices in US increase again while supplies from Russia awaited – Data

Washington, Oct 15 (RIA Novosti/GNA) – The average price of diesel fuel in the US has reached $6.3 per gallon (about 3.8 liters) amid expected supplies from Russia, according to data from the American Automobile Association (AAA) reviewed by RIA Novosti.

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump on Friday. Following the call, the US President said that an agreement had been reached on the supply of diesel fuel from Russia. He said the US was very pleased to receive much-needed Russian diesel. The US Treasury immediately issued a general license allowing the sale of Russian diesel fuel deliveries through April 7.

According to the data, the average price of diesel in the US on October 9 fell to $6.278 from $6.284 the previous day. On October 12, the price dropped slightly again, to $6.266, but it rose in the following days.

The current price level — $6.317 per gallon — is higher than it was a week or a month ago, the data showed.
