Accra, Oct. 3, GNA – The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) and World Vision Ghana (WVG) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to use professional marketing to highlight WVG’s impact, attract strategic partnerships and support its programmes for vulnerable children and communities across Ghana.
A press statement issued by the CIMG and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would focus on strategic marketing, capacity building, advocacy, and impactful storytelling.
It said both organisations would draw on their respective strengths through training programmes, research, professional development initiatives, and targeted public sensitisation campaigns.
Mr Kwabena Agyekum, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of CIMG, said the partnership reflected the Institute’s commitment to applying marketing beyond the business discipline and using it as a force for social good.
“By leveraging and adapting the elements of the Marketing Mix, we will advance the initiatives under this partnership,” he said.
Mr Joshua Baidoo, Interim National Director, WVG, noted that the partnership would support the organisation to implement its Harnessing Opportunities for the Protection and Empowerment of Every Child (HOPE for Every Child) strategy.
“CIMG’s expertise in strategic marketing will strengthen how we tell the story of that work, helping us reach and mobilise support for even more of Ghana’s most vulnerable children,” he said.
Mr Joseph Appiah, the Director for Business Development and Partnerships at WVG, emphasised that meaningful partnerships were essential to addressing complex social challenges and creating lasting change.
“This partnership demonstrates what is possible when professional expertise meets humanitarian purpose,” he said.
The MoU marked a collaboration between the two organisations to use marketing as a tool for sustainable development and national progress, the statement said.
