Techiman (Bono East) Oct. 17, GNA-Alhaji Ali Abubakar, an aspirant vying for the Bono East Regional Chairmanship position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has pledged to deepen unity in the party if given the nod.

He emphasised that the party required a strengthened unity to retain political power in the Election 2028 and also maintain its parliamentary seats as well.

Alhaji Abubakar gave the pledge in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Techiman, after he filed his nominations to contest in the party regional elections.

“We have to resolve our differences and internal issues amicably to make our party formidable for the Election 2028 and that is what I stand for”, he stated.

Alhaji Abubakar noted that with strengthened unity, every supporter and member would own the NDC and contribute actively in the party’s political activities in the region and to retain political power.

“So, I pledge to remain committed to use my office to promote unity if given the nod to lead our party in Bono East”, he stated, promising to lead the NDC to win the Techiman South constituency parliamentary seat.

Alhaji Abubakar advised the youth of the party to guard against acts of lawlessness and political violence.
