Kwesimintsim (W/R), Oct. 21, GNA – Mr Evans Oheneba Andoh, the incumbent Constituency Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kwesimintsim in the Western Region, has pledged to strengthen grassroots communication, promote fact-based public engagement and build a united communication team.

The move would advance the party’s electoral fortunes ahead of the 2028 general elections.

He said his re-election bid was aimed at consolidating existing gains, improving coordination among constituency and branch communicators, and ensuring that the achievements and developmental initiatives of the Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Philip Fiifi Buckman, were effectively communicated to the electorate.

Mr Andoh, outlining his vision under the theme, “Consolidating the Gains, Strengthening Communication, and Building a United Front for 2028,” told the GNA that effective political communication must go beyond propaganda to embrace credibility, accuracy, accountability and responsiveness to the concerns of the people.

He said a strong communication structure required well-informed grassroots communicators, sustained engagement with the media and the capacity to respond promptly and accurately to issues affecting the party and its constituents.

Mr Andoh said he would also prioritise unity, teamwork, discipline and accountability to ensure that communicators worked towards a common goal and delivered consistent messages across the constituency.

The Aspirant said the communication team had an important responsibility to inform the public about the party’s policies and initiatives, highlight measurable development outcomes and address public concerns through credible and evidence-based information.

Looking towards the 2028 general elections, he said he was committed to building a proactive, organised and results-oriented communication machinery that could counter misinformation with facts, strengthen public confidence and contribute to the NDC’s efforts to retain the Kwesimintsim parliamentary seat.

Mr Andoh called for unity and collective commitment among party members, saying “a coordinated communication team would be essential to consolidating the party’s gains and advancing its political objectives in the constituency.”
