MANILA, Oct. 21, (Xinhua/GNA) – A village councillor and his brother, a staffer of the village government, were shot dead in Cotabato province, southern Philippines, on Wednesday, according to local police.
The two people died instantly from bullet wounds sustained in the attack. The incident also left an adolescent male seriously wounded.
The assailants immediately escaped. Investigations are underway.
