Sefwi-Asawinso (WN/R), Sept. 02, GNA – Mr Pious Vincent Abekah, the Western North Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has presented brand new Toyota Voxy vehicles to some constituencies for commercial use to generate income to run the activities of the party in the region.
The gesture was in fulfilment of a campaign promise he made to constituency executives during the Regional Executive Election last month.
The Bia East, Juaboso and Aowin Constituencies officially picked their vehicles on the first day of the distribution exercise with the rest expected to take delivery of theirs in the coming days.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after the official presentation, Mr Abekah explained the motive was to make the constituencies self-reliant to secure the welfare of members, support the party’s social programmes, and ensure the constituencies were independent to be financially strong.
He said the vehicles would help generate adequate resource to manage the party.
He pointed out that the current government had failed to deliver on their premises to Ghanaians and believed the NPP led by Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was the only party to save Ghanaians from mismanagement.
Mr Abekah expressed shocked why the government had for the first time, reduced the producer price of cocoa, adding that the issue had made cocoa farmers and their dependants poorer.
The Regional Chairman used the opportunity to advise party faithful to be united and work hard to bring the NPP back to power in the 2028 general election.

Mr Isaac Asamoah Boadu, the NPP Sefwi-Wiawso Constituency Chairman, on behalf of his colleagues commended the Regional Chairman for the initiative, saying it would help raise enough funds for the day-to-day running of the party in the constituencies.
He promised to make good use of the vehicle and serve the purpose of which they were presented.
