Sekyedumase (Ash), Sept. 16, GNA – The Sekyedumase Community Bank PLC in the Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipality recorded an after-tax profit of GHS4,885,297 in 2025, up from GHS4,144,289 in 2024.
The figure represents a 17.88 per cent increase in profit over the period.
The Bank also increased its total assets from GHS144,585,125 in 2024 to GHS181,510,189 in 2025, reflecting a growth of 25.54 per cent.
Its Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) improved to 16.02 per cent in 2025 from 8.63 per cent in 2024.
Mr Mathew Kojo Njourkone, Board Chairman of the Bank, announced the performance figures at the Bank’s 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at its headquarters in Sekyedumase in the Ashanti Region.
He said the AGM was convened to provide shareholders and stakeholders with the opportunity to deliberate and gain a better understanding of the Bank’s performance during the financial year.
Mr Njourkone said despite prevailing economic, regulatory and operational challenges, the Bank remained resilient and recorded growth in both business operations and profitability.
He said the increase in after-tax profit, strengthened capital adequacy and sustained expansion of operations reflected the commitment and hard work of the Board, management and staff.
The Chairman also announced that deposits increased from GHS136,397,979 in 2024 to GHS165,943,027 in 2025, representing a growth of 21.66 per cent.
He said loans and advances rose from GHS4.50 billion in 2024 to GHS6.85 billion in 2025, while investments increased from GHS10.97 billion to GHS12.92 billion within the same period.


Mr Njourkone said credit quality had improved considerably, while capital adequacy across the rural banking subsector had also strengthened.
“The bank’s stated capital increased from approximately GHS 1,044,615 in 2024 to GHS 3,171,825 in 2025, mainly through a GHS2 million transfer from income surplus, to be treated as shares,” he said.
Mr Njourkone appealed to shareholders to increase their shareholdings and encouraged their relatives, business partners, customers and the public to patronise and invest in Sekyedumase Community Bank PLC.
