Nkotompo (WR), Sept. 21, GNA – Reverend Seth Williams, the Minister of the Nkotompo Nazareth Society of the Methodist Church of Ghana, has been praised by Nkotompo kinsmen, the Network of Churches and the Church itself, for a praiseworthy tenure of office.
Reverend Williams who served as the priest for that society in the last six years, maintained good religious and working relationship with all and sundry, endearing him to the hearts of the church members and the entire community.
At an official sendoff ceremony to his new station at Nkansaworondo, the various societies in the church, the network of churches, the Akona Abusua and Odikro of the Nkotompo community, presented gifts, citations and praiseworthy songs to honour him.
The Odikro of Nkotompo attested to his faithfulness and commitment to the wellbeing of church members and the community.
The Network of Churches commended him for bringing all churches in the area together to pursue the common goal of keeping the flocks tight.
The Methodist Student’s Union from the Takoradi Technical University alluded to how sincerely he had always responded to their needs for support and help at any time they called on him.
Notable remarks that runed through the citations read; “Your ministry is marked by dedication, punctuality and commitment to duty- your love for God and Church has been evidence through preaching and teaching; your compassion to the Vulnerable.”
Thanking the Church Members, the Outgoing Reverend Minister said: “I have worked to maintain my integrity, and I urge you to continue to do what is right.”
He said God would reward every dedicated labourer in the vineyard in due course and therefore entreated them to be committed, forget the naysayers …get involved, don’t be lukewarm and God who, is your paymaster will pay you so well.”
Reverend Williams thanked some individuals and the church for the generous support during his tenure of office.
Within the last six years, he moved the church to its present place of worship, led the centenary anniversary in 2022, revived the school project and placed several youth in leadership positions.
