Ve-Golokuati (V/R), September 16, GNA – The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the Afadzato South District has donated relief items to a fire victim’s at Have-Domefe.
The Directorate also donated mattresses and blankets to the Logba-Vuinta Clinic to support healthcare delivery and improve patient comfort.
The donations form part of NADMO’s efforts to provide relief and support to disaster victims and health facilities within the Afadzato South District.
The items were presented on behalf of Mr Maxwell Worlanyo Korkutse, the Afadzato South District Director of the NADMO, by Mr Phanuel Samanu and Mr Maxwell Geli.
Mr Korkutse sympathised with the victims and assured them of NADMO’s continued commitment to providing timely assistance to disaster-stricken communities.
He said the roofing sheets were intended to help affected households repair damaged structures and return to normal life as quickly as possible.
Mr Korkutse urged residents to take precautionary measures during the rainy season and report disaster incidents promptly to facilitate swift intervention.
He reiterated the Organisation’s broader mandate to coordinate disaster management activities and provide relief to individuals and communities affected by natural disasters.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to NADMO for the support, describing the intervention as timely and essential in helping them rebuild their homes after the storms.
