Kumasi, Sept. 16, GNA – What began as ordinary phone calls, data purchases and mobile transactions, ended in an extraordinary reward for three MTN Ghana customers, who are now proud owners of brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prados.
Madam Faustina Asante, Wasila Mahama and Halidu Tanko could hardly have imagined that their routine transactions on the MTN network would eventually put them behind the wheels of luxury vehicles.
The three were among lucky customers rewarded by MTN Ghana under its MTN@30 anniversary promotion at a ceremony in Kumasi.
The promotion, which formed part of activities marking the telecommunications company’s 30 years of operations in Ghana, was designed to reward customers for their loyalty and continued patronage of the network.
Mr. Simon Amoh, Senior Manager, General Trade, MTN Northern Business District, said unlike other promotions that required customers to undertake additional registration or special activities, the MTN@30 promo was deliberately made simple.
He said customers only needed to continue with their normal activities on the network, including recharging, purchasing data and transacting on MTN’s mobile platforms, to stand a chance of winning.
“For the past three months, we have been rewarding our customers with prizes ranging from Land Cruiser Prados to about GHS 30,000.00 in cash,” he said.
Mr. Amoh said the latest presentation constituted the final batch of prizes under the promotion, which had already produced three other winners who drove home brand-new Land Cruiser Prados during the previous month.
He said the initiative was MTN’s way of saying “thank you” to its customers for their contribution to the company’s growth over the past 30 years.
According to him, the milestone was not solely about the MTN, but also about the more than 32 million Ghanaians who had helped to build the business through their continued patronage.
He said customers, partners, stakeholders and employees had collectively shaped the company’s journey, with MTN’s network becoming part of the daily lives of individuals, families and businesses across the country.
“Thirty years of progress powered by union,” Mr. Amoh said, adding, this theme reflects our deep appreciation for everyone who has been part of this journey,”
He congratulated the three winners and described their prizes as the MTN’s recognition of the trust and loyalty they had demonstrated over the years.
He said although the MTN@30 promotion had officially ended, the company was completing the final prize presentations to ensure that the anniversary journey of appreciation ended on a grand note.
For Madam Asante, Ms. Mahama and Mr. Tanko, the ceremony marked more than another anniversary event; it transformed their everyday use of a mobile network into a life-changing reward.
The three winners took possession of their vehicles amid excitement, bringing the MTN@30 promotional activities in Kumasi to a memorable close.
