Ho, Sept. 13, GNA – The 2026 Asogli Te Za Health Walk has brought together more than 1,000 participants in Ho to promote fitness, wellness and healthy living.
The health walk, which took participants through the streets of the Municipality, attracted people from different walks of life as part of activities marking the Asogli Te Za celebrations.
Beyond promoting physical fitness, the event highlighted the importance of healthy lifestyles as a foundation for building a strong and thriving society.
The Mawuleme Movement, a sanitation-focused group, also used the occasion to promote environmental cleanliness by visibly participating in the walk and picking up litter, including discarded plastics and other waste along the route.
The group’s members collected waste throughout the exercise to help keep the streets clean as participants moved through the Municipality.

The Jubilee Park, which hosted more than 1,000 participants for the health walk, was also cleaned immediately after the event.
The Mawuleme Movement said the prompt clean-up demonstrated its commitment to keeping public spaces clean and ensuring that major community events did not leave behind significant amounts of waste.
The exercise therefore combined health promotion with environmental responsibility, reinforcing the message that a healthy community requires both physically active people and a clean environment.
