Accra, Sept. 11, GNA – The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has launched an official website; www.gjaghana.com, to strengthen communication and improve access to information.
Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, the Association’s President, who announced this at a press conference in Accra on Friday, said the website formed part of the GJA’s ongoing digital transformation and efforts to deepen engagement with journalists and the public.
“It will serve as the new digital home of the GJA and provide a central source of official information,” he said.
Mr Dwumfour said the platform would feature updates on GJA’s activities, statements, press releases, programmes, training opportunities, and events.
It would also provide membership information and resources on media development, journalists’ safety, and press freedom advocacy.
Mr Dwumfour said the platform would enable development partners, government institutions, diplomatic missions and civil society organisations to access information on the GJA’s activities.
The initiative, he said, was important as digital platforms had become central to communication, information sharing, and public engagement.
The GJA President said the Association was committed to ensuring that its digital presence reflected the professionalism and dynamism of Ghana’s journalism community.
He urged journalists, GJA members and media practitioners to visit www.gjaghana.com and make the platform a regular source of official information.
Mr Dwumfour pledged the GJA’s commitment to developing and updating the website to respond to the needs of members and provide timely information.
He said the launch was another step towards building a more connected, accessible, transparent and digitally responsive Association.
