Sunyani, (Bono), Sept 25, GNA-The Bono Regional command of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) was crowned champion of the Bono Regional 2026 Annual Security Services Sports Association (SESSA) games.
The GIS won almost all the competing disciplines including football, alms wrestling, tag of peace and volleyball in the third edition of the Bono Regional SESSA games held at the Sunyani Coronation Park.
It was organised by the Bono Regional secretariat of the National Sports Authority (NSA) to prepare the security services for the 2026 National SESSA games.
Addressing the closing session of the games, Mr Kwame Baa Mensa, the Bono Regional Director of the NSA said the event also aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the security services.
He called for a deepened collaboration between the security services and the public in peace building and sustenance.
Chief Superintendent of Police, Mr Ebenezer Anim Ofori, the Sunyani Municipal Police Commander commended the participants for their peaceful conduct and level of discipline.
