Accra, Sept. 2, GNA – The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has commenced its 2026 enlistment exercise for commissioned officers, cautioning applicants to rely only on official channels.
A press release issued by the Department of Public Relations at GAF General Headquarters, Burma Camp, said the official advertisement appeared in the Ghanaian Times on Monday, August 31, and the Daily Graphic on Tuesday, September 1.
The release was signed by Naval Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director‑General of Public Relations.
It said application vouchers would be available at designated Ghana Post offices nationwide from Thursday, September 3, at a cost of GH¢200.
The online application portal would be activated on Friday, September 4, to enable applicants to complete the process, with the deadline for submission set for Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
“The public is strongly encouraged to obtain information on the enlistment exercise only through official GAF social media handles,” the statement said.
It urged members of the public to report suspected fraudulent activities relating to the exercise through official contact numbers provided by the Armed Forces.
The release emphasised that the GAF did not engage middlemen or agents and did not charge additional fees for enlistment.
It therefore cautioned applicants against making payments to persons claiming to be agents, middlemen or representatives of the Armed Forces.
