Akatsi (V/R), Sept. 20, GNA – Mr Edem Ackuaku, the Chief Executive Officer of Delmark Agro, is set to deepen his engagement with farmers and agricultural stakeholders in the Akatsi South Municipality through another Farmers Symposium.
The symposium aims at sharing knowledge forging collaboration.
The symposium, organised by the Delmark Agro in collaboration with Tiger Biotech Industries, is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, 2026, under the theme: “Empowering Farmers through Knowledge and Collaboration.”
The event would bring together farmers, policymakers and industry players to deliberate on ways to strengthen agriculture and explore innovative solutions to challenges confronting the sector.
The symposium would be held at two venues, with the first session scheduled for 1200 hours at the Community Library at Atidzive, followed by a second session at 1500 hours at Tayime, both in the Akatsi South Municipality.
Mr Ackuaku is expected to address participants on the role of agribusiness in empowering farmers and the importance of collaboration in advancing agricultural development.
Mr Daniel Dagba, the Municipal Chief Executive for Akatsi South, is expected to highlight government’s commitment to supporting local farmers through collaborative initiatives.
Mr Patrick Adzame, the Assembly Member for the Atidzive Electoral Area, and Mr Neyram Satsi, Assembly Member for Monome Dzrakate Electoral Area, are also expected to share perspectives on community-level agricultural development.
The organisers say the symposium forms part of efforts to provide farmers with practical knowledge and create opportunities for partnerships and expose them to innovative approaches to addressing challenges within the agricultural sector.
They said continued engagement with farmers was important to improving access to information, technology and other resources required to enhance agricultural productivity.
Mr Ackuaku has in recent times organised and participated in similar farmer-focused engagements in the Akatsi South Municipality, with emphasis on agricultural knowledge, technology and opportunities for farmers.
Through his various initiatives, he has also impacted practical skills to several young people and individuals, equipping them with knowledge and skills to pursue livelihoods and become self-reliant.
Mr Ackuaku is also contesting for the position of Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Akatsi South Constituency, as the party prepares to elect new constituency executives.
The event is being held under the slogan: “Together We Build a Stronger Agriculture.”
