Cape Coast, Sept 12, GNA – The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in the Central Region has held a week-long clinic to promote its digital services and address customers’ concerns.
The clinic, which marked the company’s maiden participation in the annual Central EXPO held at the Adisadel College Park in Cape Coast, provided ECG with a platform to engage customers directly and educate them on its services.
The team educated visitors on meter acquisition, new service connections, energy conservation and billing concerns.
A key focus was the ECG Power App, with staff assisting new customers to download, register and navigate the application and those who successfully completed the app on-boarding process received branded souvenirs.
The electricity company also entreated customers to settle outstanding electricity bills to enable it to enhance its operations and provide more quality services.
Madam Tamara Asomani-Wiafe, General Manager, Central Region, said the event enabled the Company to better understand the challenges customers faced in accessing electricity services and help solve them.
She said the exhibition demonstrated the importance of meeting customers directly, listening to their concerns and providing simple and convenient ways to access ECG services.
Madam Asomani-Wiafe expressed the company’s commitment to addressing the concerns of citizens and providing improved services to promote businesses and enhance livelihoods.
The Ghana Tourism Authority commended the ECG Communication Team for its professional approach and effective engagement with customers.
It encouraged ECG Central Region to maintain its participation in future editions of the EXPO.
The exhibition was organised by the Central Regional Coordinating Council under the theme, “Celebrating five years of advancing trade, promoting tourism and unlocking opportunities.”
