Atebubu, (Bono East) Sept. 04, GNA-Mr Foster Akwasi Asante, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Driver Vehicle and Licensing Authority (DVLA) has inaugurated a new DVLA office at Atebubu in the Bono East Region.
Speaking at a ceremony at Atebubu, he said the office would reduce the burden of clients traveling far from Atebubu to access the DVLA service elsewhere.
Mr Asante pledged the DVLA’s dedication to provide quality services to clients and urged the people to support the operations and activities of the authority in the area.
He said that the new office would also offer employment opportunities for some of the youth in the area.
Ohempon Dr Yeboah Asiamah, the Paramount Chief of the Atebubu Traditional Area expressed appreciation to the Atebubu Stool Land Secretariat for renting a two-year office accommodation for the Authority to manage the office at Atebubu.
He also thanked the government for the office, which he added was one of the immediate development needs of the people in the area.
