Dodome, Sept. 8, GNA – Concerned citizens of Dodome in the Ho West District have secured police permission to hold a peaceful demonstration on Thursday, September 10, 2026, over concerns affecting the community.

A statement issued on September 7, and signed by Mr Kwame Michael Anani Kwasi, Secretary of the Concerned Citizens of Dodome, said the Anyrawase District Police Command had granted official permission for the demonstration.

The organizers called on citizens of Dodome and surrounding communities to participate in the demonstration to make the programme successful.

They urged all participants to comport themselves and maintain peace and order throughout the exercise.

The organisers said the demonstration would be peaceful, orderly, lawful and community-driven, and appealed to residents to support the programme with cash and in-kind contributions.

The announcement did not state the specific demands of the demonstrators, but the road network linking Dzolo Gbogame, through Dodome, to Kpedze is approximately 15.1 kilometres.

The route is located within the Ho West District of the Volta Region and connects Dzolo Gbogame with Kpedze through communities including Dodome Avexa and Dodome Tsikor.

The organisers urged residents to spread information about the demonstration and participate responsibly.

They also called for unity among community members and adherence to the conditions governing the exercise.

The organisers assured participants of their commitment to maintaining peace and order, while encouraging residents to remain united in pursuing their community concerns.
