Asokore-Mampong (Ash), Sept. 03, GNA – Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asawase, together with Mr Ben Abdullah Alhassan, the Asokore-Mampong Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), have inspected selected ongoing development projects in the area.
The inspection was intended to evaluate the extent of progress of works, and to confirm that the projects were being carried out under the required specifications.
It was also aimed at urging contractors to complete the works within the agreed timelines.
The team reviewed several key initiatives, including the 24-Hour Market at Aboabo, ongoing works at the Adukrom, Sawaba and Boubai Astroturf Park.
At Boubai, they inspected ongoing construction of a new block for the Boubai Clinic, a facility expected to substantially strengthen healthcare delivery and expand residents’ access to essential health services.
They also inspected the ongoing Community-based Health Planning Services (CHPS Compound) project at Sabon Zongo, as part of efforts to bring quality healthcare services closer to communities.
On the education front, the team visited the newly constructed kindergarten block at Asokore -Mampong and the first floor of a six-unit classroom block.
The MP said these facilities represented meaningful investments in the future of children, providing a more conducive setting for effective teaching and learning.
The team further assessed major road projects, including the 7-kilometre in-town roads at Parkoso, the 3.5-kilometre in-town roads at Adukrom, and the 7-kilometre Sepe Dote in-town roads.
The MP said that he was impressed with the progress and quality of work at various project sites.
He noted that, the government remained committed to providing the necessary infrastructure, improving living conditions, creating opportunities for the youth, and ensuring that the people of Asokore Mampong received their fair share of national development.
Alhaji Muntaka emphasised that development must transcend mere promises, insisting that it should be clearly visible in communities and felt in the day-to-day lives of citizens.
The contractors working on different projects gave their assurances that they would complete the works on schedule.
The MP said his office would continue to engage them and closely monitor execution until completion.
