Accra, Aug. 13, GNA – Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC and Multimedia Group Limited have signed a partnership agreement to extend the JoyNews Habitat Fair to Accra, Kumasi, and Ho, broadening access to housing-related information and financing opportunities for prospective homeowners across the country.
The agreement, announced at the Republic Bank Head Office in Accra, builds on the Bank’s previous role as Title Sponsor of the Habitat Fair in Kumasi through Multimedia Group’s Luv FM.
A statement from the Communications Department of the Bank coped to the Ghana News Agency said Dr. Benjamin Dzoboku, Managing Director of Republic Bank, said the initiative reflected the Bank’s longstanding involvement in Ghana’s housing sector.
He noted that the country’s housing challenge is less about supply and more about affordability, with household incomes, borrowing costs and land-related issues posing significant barriers.
He called for collaboration among government, financial institutions, developers, the media, and other stakeholders to address the issue.
Dr. Dzoboku explained that Republic Bank has retained its expertise in housing finance while evolving into a full-service commercial bank. He highlighted the Bank’s participation in the National Housing Scheme to support public sector workers and urged prospective homeowners to explore available financing options rather than abandon their aspirations.
Mr. Fiifi Koomson, General Manager, Joy Brands at Multimedia Group, described the partnership as a natural progression of the organisations’ collaboration in Kumasi. He said the expansion to Accra and Ho demonstrates confidence in the Group’s platforms.
Mr. Max Fugar, General Manager, Sales at Multimedia Group, signed the agreement on behalf of the Group and confirmed that the JoyNews Habitat Fair will be held in Accra, Kumasi, and Ho.
Ahead of the main fair, a Habitat Fair Clinic is scheduled for August 21–23, 2026, at Achimota Mall in Accra. The clinic will allow prospective homeowners to engage directly with exhibitors and industry experts on financing, construction, and property acquisition.
The expansion of the Habitat Fair is expected to provide more Ghanaians with access to expert advice and practical solutions to support their homeownership ambitions.
