Stockholm, Aug 27. (dpa/GNA) – The health of Norwegian King Harald V, has deteriorated again, the royal court said on Thursday, describing his condition as “very serious.”
Crown Prince Haakon and Queen Sonja, cancelled their entire programme on Thursday as a result. The 89-year-old monarch was admitted to hospital last week. He had been treated with cortisone for the blood disorder haemolytic anaemia, which had led to a build-up of fluid in the body.
He subsequently developed a bacterial infection of the bloodstream. Most recently, it had been said that he had responded to the antibiotics.
